I organise Monday and Tuesday lunches together with the children. It is especially important to me to share the joy of eating, preparing food together and treating food thoughtfully.
We use regional, seasonal produce wherever possible to prepare varied, child-friendly meals together. Along the way, children learn about food and nutrition, develop their motor skills and discover what it means to create something together, cook for each other and then share a meal.
As the mother of three now grown-up children, I know from experience how valuable shared meals and their rituals are.
My varied training and professional experience — as a kindergarten teacher, graphic designer, skipper and yoga teacher — inform my work with children in different ways. I also bring experience and knowledge of vegetarian and vegan nutrition.
